Imagination creates your reality

I’m a firm believer in visualization or imagination throughout the day…I visual while waiting on line, walking….but in the beginning, it was challenging. When we’re in Beta (waking, conscious stage) there’s a lot more activity going on in the brain…We’re reasoning, making the decision, problem-solving, rational thinking. So, when we try to visualize your desires during the day, it’s was harder to focus, it was challenging to feel an elevated emotion when there’s a project that may not meet a deadline and someone will not be happy. In the beta stage, our ego is the main character and wants to play it part. The ego wants to keep you safe. The ego is the creature of habits. It doesn’t want any new thoughts that are going to disturb the cipher.

So instead of giving up…I have found another way or another time of the day. Imagination before bedtime is very powerful. Our brainwave starts to slow down. It goes from Beta to Alpha. In Alpha, our brain is in a light meditative stage. We’re more relaxed  We tend to think less. While our conscious mind (logical and analytical mind), our ego is at rest, our subconscious mind is receptive to receive messages or thoughts. There’s no power struggle between the two minds.

Here’s what you do….while you’re in bed…imagine the outcome of your desires..as if you have already received it.  Don’t get really excited…it will just keep you up all night. (Trust me). But a joyous expectation of what is to come and how you will be at ease and calm of the mind when you have your desires. Feel how wonderful it would be to receive.

Here’s a little secret to help you feel elevated emotions….smile. There’s magic in a smile. You release the feel-good chemicals – dopamine, endorphins, and serotonin when you smile. And when you release these chemicals…it raises your vibrational frequency.

As you imagine or visualize, hold it for at least 16 seconds at a time up to 60 seconds…why 16 seconds? When you create a new thought or idea for 16 seconds it creates new neural pathways. Neural pathways are nerve cells that transmit signals to and from the brain and they travel on a certain pathway.  It’s like a highway in your brain and the nerve cells travel like 2 miles per hour. It’s responsible for how we act around different people or stimuli on a daily basis. This process happens when you have a new thought or change a routine or behavior. We can’t change our lives with the same thoughts, new thoughts create a new habit.

When you hold a thought for 60 seconds, those neurons that newly created will start to fires off faster in the pathway..because a longer thought will create some form of emotions. When neurons fires together they wire togetherf..so it’s like someone doing 90 miles per hour on the highway.  

If your mind wanders off with other thoughts…re-focus and smile, re-focus and smile. We have been conditioned to stop imagining when we get a certain age, so just like riding a bike; you practice and eventually, it will become easier and effortless.

As you repeat the process every night, your subconscious mind will take those thoughts and embed them in your mind as if it’s your reality. The mind doesn’t know the difference between a reality or an imagined thought from the past, present, and future. So as you drift off to sleep, those thoughts are coming together and forming a picture. Studies have shown that athletes that imagined they were training in their mind during their off-time boosted their performance level.  That’s why they say; sports is 90% mental and 10% physical.

After practicing this technique…visualizing and imagining that you have already received it will become a new thought habit. Just like any habit, It would become so nature; it wouldn’t require so much effort.
